The Spiritual Journey

Santa Barbara Facilitators

Maria Henderson is a spiritual director and writer. She enjoys accompanying individuals by holding space for them to explore their relationships with Spirit. She has especially been formed by the Ignatian spiritual tradition and is trained in giving the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. She is exploring various ways to bring the Ignatian tradition together with concerns for social justice and racial healing to form contemplative peacemakers.

Shawna Hill uses her writing and her voice to shift the focus in social services for people with disabilities, from a problem centered focus to a more person-centered focus. Her professional work is closely intertwined with her love for the art of Spiritual Direction. She is passionate about people and the need we all have to be heard, be valued, and be loved. As a spiritual director, she is intentional about creating warm, safe space for people to develop and explore their own unique connection with Spirit.
