Lent invites us to dwell with the Holy Source, and Eastertide can reveal new aspects of faith and life.  The spring series is intended for seekers who began writing together during Epiphany and wish to go deeper,
and all others who may wish to join the group for any or all of these sessions.
Journal pages - no longer blank - continue to draw us toward fresh perspectives on past and future as we write in the light of Presence.   Contemplative writing in community increases connectedness with self, others and God.  Pen in hand, we will tap the depths as we listen together for “the still, small voice” and record what we hear.

This workshop is open to experienced writers, journal keepers, and those exploring how to write from the soul.  Judith brings her gentle, inviting spirit to help us reveal for ourselves the amazing truths that we already have within us.

I will give you treasures of darkness

And riches hidden in secret places
Isaiah 45:3

We will explore Period Log, Life History Log, Dialogues with Persons, Work, Events and Wisdom Figures. We will revisit Daily Examen, extend Stepping Stones and Body Dialogue, and delve into Meditation Log and Testament as we pen our way through Lent and into Eastertide.     Prayerful writing in an atmosphere of cared-for silence offers a safe structure that allows the truth of the Self to flow naturally onto the page.

Join a group of spiritual explorers in attending to what is real, here and now.   Prayerful writing in the company of others is a powerful way of tending the soul and mending the universe.

Judith Favor has been wending her way through life’s struggles and celebrations in the pages of her Intensive Journal since 1973. A lifelong contemplative and seasoned writing guide, she serves on Stillpoint’s staff and teaches at the Claremont School of Theology.  A retired UCC pastor and spiritual guide, she graduated from the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in 1985, and has been a member of Spiritual Directors International since it began.  Judith and her spouse Peter Nelson are active at Claremont Friends Meeting, living happily ever after at Pilgrim Place.
