What we Believe

God is Holy Mystery. God is loving, caring, and self-revealing, and God's presence can be experienced in all aspects of life.
God yearns for relationship with us even more than we yearn for God. God is both transcendent and immanent.
We are called to participate in the life and work of God's Spirit in ourselves and in the world.

What we Believe About Spiritual Direction

The process of spiritual direction is guided by the Spirit of God and the focus of the session is discerning the movement of the Spirit in the life of the directee. Sharing the search for, and experience of, God enhances our relationship with God.
People experience and respond to God in different ways, influenced in part by their life experience, personality structure, and religious and cultural background. Spiritual awareness and growth involves the whole person, body, mind and spirit.
